A Level 3 felony is a mid-level felony charge in the state of Indiana. If you are convicted of a Level 3 felony, you can experience some very severe consequences. The most severe sentence is time in prison and a minimum fine of $10,000.00.

The potential prison sentence is 3 to 16 years, with an advisory sentence of 9 years, in an Indiana Department of Correction facility. In Indiana, judges have a bit of leeway in the sentencing. The court can sentence the following in a Level 3 Felony sentence:

In a conviction of a Level 3 Felony conviction, only the time in excess of 3 years may be suspended if the person has any prior unrelated felony convictions. However, certain Level 3 felonies concerning the possession of a controlled substance are still able to be fully suspended. The fine associated with a Level 3 felony charge is up to $10,000.00.
